Music Ministries

Hilldale has a vibrant music ministry. If you love to sing, ring handbells, or play an instrument, we have a place for you! 


Adult Chancel Choir

Meets Wednesday evenings from 7:00-8:00 pm and sings primarily at our 11:00 worship service. This group is open to anyone high school age and up. We provide inspirational anthems each Sunday, as well as other special services throughout the year.

Adult Worship Team

Meets Wednesday evenings from 6:30-7:00 pm and sings primarily at the 8:30 worship service. This group is open to anyone high school age and up. We provide inspirational service music with an emphasis on current contemporary songs. 

Adult Faith Ringers

Meets Sunday afternoon from 5:00-6:00 pm from September through April. Prior handbell experience is a bonus! This group is open to college age and up. We provide special music four to five times a year. 

Kids' Choir

Currently meeting on Sunday mornings downstairs after our Children’s Time, this group is prepping for our Hanging the Greens service on December 1st. 

Kids Tone Chimes

This group, consisting of 3rd through 5th graders, meets as part of our children’s YITZ programming on Sunday afternoons from 4:30-5:00. This group is also preparing for our Hanging the Greens service.

If you play an instrument- guitar, keyboard, trumpet, flute, saxophone or other, we can find a place in service for you to share your musical gift!

Who to contact?

Kathy Bearden is our Director of Music Ministries. She has been a member of Hilldale UMC since 1979 when she was hired as church organist. In 1982 she assumed the duties of Director of Music.
